Andrea Curiale is an Italian classical guitarist. His playing is strongly shaped by a singing approach to the instrument, with particular attention to sound, phrasing and musical clarity.
He began his studies with Paolo Lambiase and later attended Aniello Desiderio’s masterclasses for several years. He graduated with highest honors from the Conservatorio “Nicola Sala” in Benevento and continued his studies in Switzerland at the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana in Lugano, where he studied with Lorenzo Micheli and completed both a Master of Arts in Music Performance and a Master of Advanced Studies. These years allowed him to broaden his repertoire while continuing to refine his artistic voice.
A prizewinner in international competitions, Andrea performs as a soloist and chamber musician in Italy and abroad.
In 2023 he released his debut album dedicated to Ferdinando Carulli. His current work focuses on twentieth-century Italian repertoire, which is also at the centre of his next recording project.
Alongside his performing activity, he teaches guitar in the Italian public school system.
